Programme Duration 27.5 to 38 learning hours

(All hours are ‘plus assessment for the ILM option)

Workshop attendance represents 6.5 hours. Completion of the optional ‘ILM’ learning resource materials (handouts and self study materials) increases the learning hours to 10.5 for each subject area. Hence where a subject is selected, this counts as 10.5 learning hours but when a second day to the subject area is selected, the learning hours increase by 6.5 hours – 17 learning hours in total.

Note: The learning hours for the outdoor development event is 24 in total.

Workshops are arranged over a time period that allows for the completion of the ‘work based’ assignments, one for each subject area selected. To achieve ILM Endorsement delegates will be required to attend all events. The workshops may be spread within a maximum time period of six months.

Resources

Resource materials include:

  • Support materials for each Workshop (Reflection Series)
  • The course assignments (one per workshop/subject area)

These materials are issued to delegates at each of the appropriate workshops.

Although not always practicable, it is requested that the host company commits to providing mentor support that will also liase with the course facilitators for the duration of the programme.

ILM Endorsed Awards and Assignments (Optional)

An important optional feature of these programmes is that successful candidates can receive an ‘Endorsed Award’ issued by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Experience has shown that these require around 4 hours per subject area to complete. Learning outcomes and Assessment criteria are clearly stated to ensure that delegates understand the rational for tutor marking. There is an emphasis within all assignments on ‘application’.
