Development Courses and Workshops
- Below are the sections that our workshops are divided into -
The ‘Aim’ of all HRD Solutions Workshops is to develop the basic knowledge and skills that a ’supervisor’ or ‘first line manager’ needs and further to develop the individuals’ confidence level as part of an organisations management team. Established managers and supervisors will also benefit by the opportunity to review ways of managing ‘their people’ in terms of both current thinking and ‘best practice’ in to-days business environment.
There are no formal entry requirements but delegates will normally be practicing or potential first line managers or supervisors, with two years work experience behind them.
Workshop Description:
Designed as ‘Experiential Learning Event’s’, each workshop is mainly of single day duration.
All workshops are designed for 8 to 12 delegates with two tutors facilitating to ensure individual support, group interaction and tutor attention. ‘Experiential Learning’ is designed to provide maximum benefit to the delegates and introduces the concept of learning whilst having fun. Activities include group and syndicate discussion, case studies, business games and video resources.
The ‘Aim’ of each workshop is that on completion, delegates will have gained additional knowledge and skills to be used within their supervisory role and to the wide range of issues that they are likely to meet in that role.
A further benefit of ‘Experiential Learning’ is that it encourages delegate interaction, self-confidence and the skills of networking in a safe environment.
ILM Endorsement:
As an optional benifit, many of the most popular courses and workshops are offered with the Endorsement of the Institute of Leadership and management (ilm)
Resources:
Support materials are issued to delegates at the workshop.
As part of the booking process ‘Host organisations’ are required to have suitably equipped training rooms. However where this is not possible HRD Solutions work with the Host organisation to identify the convenient locations of suitable hotel or conference facilities.
